Quarantine Days!

Have you ever wondered How important YOU are in your LIFE? Ever thought that your FLAWS make you beautiful? Have you ever considered yourself more VALUABLE than others?
I guess not, because we always put others before us. But during this lock down phase, one thing I've learned to put myself and my family first. This lock down phase, till now has been a great learning experience for me. From learning how to deal with my problems, to respecting every human relationship, i have tried to evolve into a better human being. Things which I couldn't learn my whole life, this pandemic taught me in 2 months. Most important thing that i learned is to count all your happiness even if its the smallest.

This quarantine period have proved to be the best time to explore, read, learn and write. Most of the people are saying "this is a tough time for all of us". Yes it is. But, i believe that people realize their true worth in difficult times. So, this is the best time to re-evaluate everything we've been doing. Now is the time to explore our talents which are buried deep inside. This is the time for self discovery and I believe that everyone can take out time for everything they have been missing upon earlier.

THEY SAY - YOU LEARN  EVERYTHING AT A PRICE AND THIS LOCK DOWN IS A LIFETIME LESSON!

We see people taking flights to return home but also see who walk to find home. We see people binge watching Netflix but complaining about how government could do better. We see people enjoying good food but others craving for just one supper a day. We see people staying at home and few saving the whole country by staying out. Main thing i learned from this situation is the power of GRATITUDE, how you can easily drench your heart with COMPASSION and GRATEFULNESS while understanding how privileged you are as compared to many.
Hope we take this situation as a wake up call and come out a wiser specie when all this is over.

HANG ON! LET ME OVERTHINK

Whenever I've gone through periods of overthinking in my life I've tried to find ways to stop it. Googling things like how do I stop overthinking and finding advice like let go off the past and learn to control your emotions but it never worked for me because i had difficult time buying into the whole stop doing this or that kind of mind set. I guess I just don't really believe that you can just shut down your thoughts but rather you should learn how to deal with them. So, rather than shutting down any feelings, we need to learn the difference between  productive and unproductive overthinking and aim at focusing on future rather than on the past. Some times it is difficult to distinguish between productive and unproductive overthinking because in reality, it's not about how much time we spend overthinking, it's rather how we spend that time. You'll never be free until you free yourself from the prison of your false thoughts. Overthinking is parasitic, its viral...

SELF LOVE OVER SELF COMPARISON

Its interesting to think that all those things that you want in life, or at least think that you want, someone else was born into having it all, And you don't have any say in it and neither did they. We don't get to choose what kind of life we are born into and we most definitely don't get to choose our looks and health by birth. We know this, yet we often go through life having difficulty accepting it. The problem with comparison is that you always either feel better than someone else or worthless compared to others.   I am fat and always have been, and I'd get teased for it growing up. They would tell me that slim people are more appealing. It made me dislike my own body. I think its a classic example of a situation when the reason you start comparing yourself in first place is because someone else starts comparing you first. I was happy the way I looked and felt in my own body until others felt the need to express that there was something wrong with that and suddenly...
